First, recrystallization annealing: After the spring coil is formed, recrystallization annealing treatment is required to stabilize the geometric size of the spring and reduce quenching deformation. The recrystallization annealing temperature is 550 ~ 650 ℃, heat preservation is 1 ~ 1.5h, and then air cooling. A small amount can be carried out in the salt bath furnace, and a continuous resistance furnace is used to control the atmosphere in a large amount.

Second, quenching: When the salt bath furnace is quenched and heated, the spring should be evenly wrapped with iron wire, or sheathed on the mandrel for heating. When heating, the surface of the spring must be decarburized with pentoxide. The salt bath should be carefully deoxygenated. It can also be heated in a box-type heating furnace with controlled atmosphere. The heating temperature is 850℃±10℃, and the temperature is kept for 10-15 minutes. The quenching oil in the furnace can be completely cooled.

Then, tempering: tempering twice after quenching. First, correct tempering is carried out. The corrected tempering temperature should generally be 20°C lower than the final tempering temperature. After holding for 10 to 15 minutes, it is air-cooled. Then carry out the final tempering. After correcting the size of the spring, install it on the tempering shaping jig for final tempering. The tempering fixture shall ensure that the pitch and free length of the spring meet the requirements. The tempering temperature is 420℃+10℃, heat preservation is 30~35min, and the tap water is cooled.

In addition, shot blasting: shot blasting is required to improve the fatigue strength of the spring. Projectile diameter φ0.3~0.5 mm, when compressed air is used, the compressed air pressure is 0.4~0.5 MPa; using a centrifuge for shot blasting, the projectile linear velocity is 70m/s, the service life of the spring after shot blasting can be increased More than doubled.
