【Torsion spring】 torsion
Torsion Spring (Torsion Spring), also known as torsion spring, is one of the more complicated design principles in all springs. Its style changes are quite active, so the theory involved is also the most complicated.
The torsion spring can withstand torsional loads (at right angles to the spring axis) by tightly surrounding or individually surrounding each circle. The end of the spring can be wound into a hook or a straight torsion arm.
Torsion of the torsion spring: When the torsion spring is twisted, the material is in a stretched or sheared state, as calculated by the above torsion, so the torsion angle limit of the torsion spring is ultimately caused by the failure of the material. When the material is plastically deformed, the torsion angle limit cannot Revert to the original state. Therefore, it ultimately comes down to the tensile strength and shear strength of the material. Of course, the von mises stress calculated by the fourth strength theory is the maximum strength that the material can withstand. Combined with the length of the spring, the maximum allowable torsion angle can be calculated.
